In reply to <a href="https://ea.asmodrawscomics.com/comic/part-2-pg-143/#comment-2824">Asmodeus</a>.

I figure that the demons are a peculiar mixture and while we think of them as babies because in some way they are, demons are not humans.

They're PHYSICALLY mature, and quite capable of engaging in sex without unwanted physical harm. They're designed to be expressions of sin, so lust and wrath and greed and all the other things are built into them. Speaking of sins, roll call: Gluttony, Lust, Avarice, Hubris, Despair, Wrath, Vainglory, and Sloth. Those are the seven deadly sins of tradition, and Al has mentioned Lust as the most fun.

So, let's look at our demon types...

Possessors -- Lurkers are giant horrible things that latch on and devour souls from the inside, like ticks. These guys are like the expression of sheer gluttony.
Incubus and Lust demons - Without revealing too much, these guys take a different approach to sexing up humans and feeding on the energy of sexual release. AND, Incubus in male mode can get females pregnant, and the kids are Seers, but the digression becomes (1) Why doesn't it happen more often, and (2) is it ANY females or just the ones with some psychic talent to begin with. Anyway, these guys are clearly expressions of lust.
We haven't seen where the Merchant came from or if it's unique, but, obviously, an expression of greed (Avarice), and not one that normally works on humans.
I'm going to make a snarky guess that if there is a demon that embodies Sloth, it can't be bothered to pester humans. Actually, "acedia" originally means being without compassion, unmoved to help other people or to do good things, and it's a primary sin among the Entitled, but we haven't seen any demon types promoting this in the comic.
And the same goes for the demons that embody Hubris and/or Vainglory which likely are the ones who lure humans to worship them as false gods, or to exalt themselves foolishly.
There is probably a kind that embodies Despair and leads people to suicide but we have not seen them yet. So, four sins we haven't seen embodied in demons. But WRATH... That one we have seen. That one is where we find the Soldier Class, the ones who physically and spiritually attack and make war on humans.

Of these, we've seen Waifs, Soldiers, Legionnaires, C-Class, B-Class, A-Class, and Collectors. I list Collectors as Soldier class because they control waifs and seem to be able to direct other kinds of demons. So they're military types. We know their life-cycle: they are scrabbled together from hell dust and flame as waifs by Lucifer, having barely insect-level cogitation and requiring a collector to direct their actions. They gradually grow more into hive-minded creatures, and when they hit a certain point, some of them are stuffed into a kiln and shaped by Lucifer into C-class -- given bodies and more subtle minds that can think individually. Intellectually, they're now as smart as humans.

It's possible that some of them are turned into other kinds of demons. Their smoke-and-nightmare bodies aren't especially "real" seeming, and they don't seem to have skin yet. I am not sure if Legionnaires are the same thing as special C-Class, or if they're something new since Al was raised to B-Class.

A-Class seem to be something special created to destroy exorcists, and might be alternate forms of Legionnaires, might not be all that old (designed to burn brightly then burn out) or might be soldier or near-B-Class given different forms for the purpose. Once again we don't know yet and may never know.

So are the soldier demons actually children in terms of 'child sexual abuse'?? Physically, they're adults, capable of sex, and appear to do it on their own, with full range of kink. They don't form deep attachments around sex, apparently emulating lust demons and incubus by enjoying it but not becoming attached. They do seem to form 'brotherhood' and 'fellow soldier' emotions rather strongly, which suggests they have the whole military cohesion thing. But they have little empathy with humans, or for that matter, with other demons outside the 'rank' thing. They seem more offended that someone might betray what they think is proper behavior than having compassion for other demons.

I say this without attributing any kind of mercy or sympathy to the Legionnaire who killed Finley. Whether or not he released him back into the underworld, or in what condition if he did, again we haven't seen.

This whole 'brotherhood' and child-like emotional maturity level leads me to think that the soldier demons are in fact CHILD SOLDIERS -- with all the emotional warping that comes from that. They might be being sexually abused as well, if humans have sex with them without their permission, or try to use sex to control them -- but the largest part of that comes from them having no choice due to the collars.

Oh no - every character involved in any adult content shenanigans is well over 21! There haven't been many organic ways to discuss age in-comic, save for the discussion of demon ages way at the beginning, but maybe a cast page with that info might help?

Wow, was i (happily!!) off base with the ages. Ethan just comes across as this charmingly naive baby that i figured him (and by extension, the rest of his 'class') to be in their late teens.

I am so very glad that no one human here is actually jailbait. Now, if only all the demons were also not jailbait... aaaaarrrrrggghhhh.
