However, the Gate is a lure. It’s shiny and smells like virgins and unhappiness, just the sort of things that young demons want to eat. It opens in a “place” where there are demons suitable for it … and the older ones know better because it’s not really that good … but the young ones all hit that lure, and get yanked through like trouts.

And then they get magically bound into human bodies that match their self-image, and then they get locked to the life of a human and their strength and sight is no longer theirs.

Nasty humans. Imagine the problems if all the humans tried stuff like this, it’d be no time at all before they over-fished the Underworld and demonic society would fall apart.

And speaking of the Void, I would seriously like to see the visual aspects of coming through the Void through a demon’s eyes. One minute you’re with you bros, all nude and burning up in the smoky depths of Hell, the next you’re zapped through some syphoning hole and flying through space and time and you’re just… in a room, surrounded by humans. Still naked with your whole dinglebusiness out. At least, that’s how I imagined it.
